Integrative Medicine

A Patient Centered Approach to Health Care
Integrative medicine is an attempt to integrate or bring together these divergent approaches to create a patient-centered solution. Western medicine with its drugs, surgical procedures and advanced technological advances has its place in the case of a massive injury or a life-threatening medical emergency such as a heart-attack.

Chelation Therapy

Chelation Therapy in the Treatment of Coronary Artery Disease
Chelation Therapy is an intravenous treatment using a solution containing minerals, vitamins and a special (man made) amino acid (EDTA) This solution, through complex biochemical action at the molecular level, has the effect of removing toxic heavy metals such as lead, mercury and arsenic. It also causes the mobilization of abnormal calcium some of which is excreted via urine and bile and some of which is re-circulated with the possibility of being deposited in bone. EDTA also removes excess iron, which has been shown to increase the risk of hardening of the arteries.

Allergy Testing and Treatment

Environmental and Food Allergy Testing and Treatment
Your immune system protects you from bacteria, viruses, and other substances that are foreign or harmful to your body. It is the police force of your body. Life without an immune system is not possible for long. Your white blood cells (policemen) help defend your body against invasions of bacteria or viruses (the bad guys) by producing antibodies (bullets). The "policemen" use very complex hi-tech warfare tactics in fighting germs. Your immune system has a memory and will quickly attack those specific bacteria or viruses that it has had exposure to when exposed to them again, even years later. However, things can go wrong with your immune system. It can produce anti-bodies against things such as pollens, dust, molds, foods, and even your own body tissues. No wonder you feel terrible when exposed to ragweed, etc. Your body is a battleground for a microscopic war!

Breast Infrared Thermal Imaging

Thermography: Redefining the Meaning of Early Breast Cancer Detection
Thermology refers to the analysis of the images taken during a thermography exam. These images are scored by board certified specialists. During a thermograph examination, the thermograph camera, which is placed four to eight feet from the body, takes thousands of measurements of skin temperatures. The camera produces electronic images which are then presented as a spectrum of colors indicating higher or lower levels of infared radiation, or heat, being radiated from the body.

Low Stomach Acid Heartburn

Could stomach aches and heartburn-like pains be caused by too little stomach acid?
An estimated 40-44% of adult Americans suffer from a particular stomach malady called acid reflux, commonly referred to as “heartburn.” The irony is that these millions of sufferers may be the victims of a medical mistake, which is not uncommon in history. George Washington seems to have been bled to death by his doctors, and there are many other famous cases. But rarely in history has a medical mistake affected so many millions of people, which appears to be the case today with stomach remedies.

Jonathan V. Wright, M.D. speaks on "What REALLY Causes Heartburn?"
